Excellent piece, thank you! Kawase Hasui had a magical vision. He once lived in the same neighborhood as my own home in SE Tokyo. We have one of his prints that he made of our neighborhood as it was long ago, in the entry to our home.

As a photographer, I have searched to find echoes of the past era here, seeking the same feeling that Kawase Hasui conveyed in his wood blocks. It isn't easy, but I do find these spirits of past ages from time to time, and the enchantment they provide is very special.
